My first post of the new year and what else should the topic of the night be than love love love. I’m not one for celebrating Valentines day, yet I still feel that love is all around. =)
I’ve never been the girl who dreamed of the big wedding and the beautiful dress. Or the romantic proposal with roses and all. Or that my prince charming would ride up on a white horse and sweep me off my feet. Maybe I was just being realistic because my mind was just telling me that there aren’t guys like that out there anymore. Most of the guys I meet tend to be jerks or they’re sweet, but you can’t see them as anything more than a friend.
Why is it that girls always fall for the bad boy? The tough demeanour and that carefree attitude can melt a girls heart and break it at the same time. Maybe we’re all looking for that “dream guy” that doesn’t exist. He’s sweet and funny. Thoughtful and kind. Charismatic and witty. Confident, but not egotistic. Smart, but never rubs it in your face. Cute, but doesn’t know it. Nobody’s perfect, but do we have to lower our standards just for the sake of finding someone who is good, but just good enough?

Do I believe in soul mates? I’m not sure. Do I believe in the happily ever afters in fairy tales? Probably not. But, do I believe in love? Absolutely.
